Hamer Primary School walk to Hollingworth Lake - and back

Date published: 17 July 2013

We would like to say a huge thank you for all the support for our Charity Walk on Monday 8 July. This was in aid of Cystic Fibrosis.

We are also hoping the money raised will support members of our School Community with the condition.

The children from Year 2 upwards walked to Hollingworth Lake and back. The Year 1 children and the Foundation Stage children walked on the school grounds.

So far, we have raised over £600.The children were an absolute credit to parents and the school. It was also fantastic to see so many parent volunteers. Thank you to all staff for making the day memorable for our children in aid of this great cause – particular thank you to Miss Mills for her time and organisation.

Also the Citizens of the week has been awarded to the whole school for taking part in the Sponsored walk Well Done to everyone!

Last Tuesday the Year 6 children enjoyed a visit to Lightwater Valley in Yorkshire. All the children who went on the visit had superb behavior and manners. In addition, their attitudes were both mature and impressive.

Thank you to all who parents for supporting us by coming along to the Sports Days and cheering the children on last week, they all had a great time.
