Nathaniel's body was recovered from the river
A body found in a river over the weekend has been sadly confirmed as that of missing dad-of-two Nathaniel Favour Enemona - who had vanished from Heywood at the end of last month.
The 27 year-old was last seen in the Roch Valley area of Heywood, in the evening of Sunday, 24 November - prompting an appeal and ongoing search by the authorities, including a HM Coastguard helicopter.
It has now sadly been confirmed that a body recovered from the river is Nathaniel.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 11am on Saturday 14 December 2024, we sadly located a body of a man in the water at the River Roch in Heywood, Rochdale.
"The man has now been confirmed to be Nathaniel, who went missing in Heywood on Sunday 24 November 2024. His next of kin are currently being supported by officers. Thank you for sharing our appeals."
An inquest is now expected to be opened and adjourned at a later day.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
