Clinton Cards store safe
Date published: 08 June 2012
Rochdale's Clinton Cards branch has been saved after a buyer was found for the ailing high street retailer.
Clintons Cards’ assets, brands and remaining 397 stores, including Rochdale, have now been sold to Lakeshore Lending Limited, a subsidiary of American Greetings Corporation. The sale will save around 4,500 jobs across the UK.
Peter Saville, from administrators Zolfo Cooper said: “We have always been of the view here was a strong underlying business contained within Clinton Cards.”
