Make 2025 your year by retraining and upskilling with adult learning at Hopwood Hall College

Date published: 03 January 2025

Hopwood Hall College and University Centre is the perfect place to upskill and retrain in the New Year – and you can start the journey as soon as January.

The college offers an exciting range of adult courses designed to get people to where they want to be.

And if you’re ready to seize the opportunity immediately, you’ll find courses beginning in the first few months of 2025.

This means that in many cases you can start unlocking your potential right away instead of waiting until September.

You can discover more about the courses starting in January – as well as the many others beginning throughout the year – during a special event held by Hopwood.

The ‘Adult Drop-in’ takes place from 5pm – 6.30pm on Wednesday 15 January at the college’s campuses in Rochdale and Middleton.

Those who visit can look forward to getting one-on-one advice from expert tutors.

In addition, award-winning careers advisors will be on hand to support visitors in finding the course that’s right for them.

There are many different routes to choose from, including full-time, part-time, online and flexible study options.

This includes a range of higher-level pathways taught at Hopwood’s thriving University Centre.

Hopwood has a strong record for allowing learners to ‘stay local and go far’ through studying Higher Education.

Just some of the courses starting in January include HNC Construction Management, HND Creative Media Production: Games Art Development, and HNC Mechanical/Electronic Engineering.

Those who have always dreamed of going to university but don’t currently have the qualifications would be perfect for studying Access.

Hopwood’s Access courses allow students aged 19+ to earn the coveted credentials that can secure them places at universities across the country.

However, for some people a short, part-time course can do just the trick when it comes to landing a new job or switching careers.

These courses – which can take place in-person, online or on a flexible basis – are ideal for adding to your CV and impressing employers.

Finally, apprenticeships are an extremely popular option for people of all ages.

These training programmes give individuals the opportunity to ‘earn as they learn’ while progressing up the career ladder.

This is just one route to explore as you make sure to seize all the opportunities coming your way in 2025.

Hopwood’s ‘Adult Drop-in’ takes place on Wednesday 15 January.
