Roch Valley Hospital Radio has found a new sponsor in newly-established Heywood solicitors Savas and Savage.
Joint Managing Director Savas Argirou said: “I’m sure everyone appreciates what an amazing job Roch Valley Radio do at the hospital. What is less publicised is that the Roch Valley Radio staff are all volunteers giving up their own time for the benefit of the patients. Here at Savas and Savage Solicitors we are honoured to help such a worthwhile charity with our sponsorship to enable them to continue with their excellent work.”
Andy said: “We are delighted that a newly established local company has invested in the station which is a registered charity and run entirely by volunteers. The station costs over £2,000 per year to keep going and without a sponsorship deal such as this from Savas and Savage we could not continue to provide a 24 hour broadcasting service to the patients of Fairfield Hospital. In the tough financial times everyone is experiencing we are so grateful to Savas and Kevin for agreeing to help us to survive. It is also fabulous that we have the Heywood connection as a lot of our presenters are from Heywood and it is brilliant that a local company is supporting us.”
The firm, based in Heywood, agreed a 12 month sponsorship deal with the radio station, which broadcasts from Fairfield Hospital.
Managing Directors Savas Arigou and Kevin Savage met with station secretary and radio presenter Andy Hargreaves to confirm the deal, which includes a special pre-recorded programme promoting the work of Savas and Savage Solicitors to be aired twice weekly to the staff, patients and visitors to the hospital. Links to websites from the station’s websites and an on-air advertising campaign have completed the package.
Roch Valley Radio was established at Fairfield hospital in 2006. The sponsorship will go towards the costs of running the station which include licenses, insurance and replacing and repairing equipment.
