Elaine Marsden – new Territory Manager for CLA North
The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) has strengthened its presence in the North West with the appointment of a new Territory Manager.
Elaine Marsden of Blackburn, Lancashire, will be responsible for recruiting new members to the Association throughout Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
Elaine has more than 20 years’ experience in sales and general management. Prior to joining the CLA, she worked as a business consultant for insurance provider, April UK. She has been a CLA member for more than 10 years and is joint owner of 37 acres of common land, at Cranberry Moor, Darwen, near Blackburn, which includes 10 wildlife ponds.
She said: “I have first-hand experience of the range of challenges and responsibilities rural landowners are faced with and I also know how well equipped the CLA is to provide advice and support.
“I am very much looking forward to working with farmers, landowners and other rural businesses in the North West to find out ways in which we can support them.”
CLA North Regional Director Dorothy Fairburn said: “Elaine is an experienced sales professional with a keen understanding of rural landowning issues. We are delighted to welcome her on to the team.”
In her spare time Elaine enjoys gardening and is currently renovating her farm house.
