Man charged with 'death by dangerous driving' and drug offences after fatal Manchester Road crash

A man has been charged with a range of offences including causing death by dangerous driving, and driving whilst unfit through drugs - after a fatal crash on Manchester Road on Wednesday (3 December).
Mohammed Raheem Arshad, 29, of Manchester Road, Rochdale, has been charged with the following offences.
- Causing death by dangerous driving
- Cause death whilst unlicensed
- Cause death whilst uninsured
- Attempted theft of motor vehicle
- Aggravated TWOC
- Driving whilst unfit through drugs
He has been remanded into custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court on Thursday 5 December 2024.
These charges relate to an incident which took place on Wednesday 3 December 2024 which sadly saw an 18-year-old lose his life after a collision between a Toyota Aqua Hybrid and a Volkswagen Up on Manchester Road in Rochdale.
