The area in Castleton where the water main has burst
A burst water main has caused severe disruption and traffic obstruction in Castleton.
There is currently no bus service running between Queensway and Bolton Road, after the leak began last night (Sunday 24 November) near The Commercial pub on Manchester Road.
Services are currently being diverted via Queensway and Edinburgh Way / Rochdale Bypass, affecting the number 17 bus between Manchester and Rochdale town centre.

- Manchester Road / Tesco (Stop D)
Work is ongoing to clear the road, but drivers are advised to avoid the area, and transport users should expect the diversion and some delays.
