Wardle Academy pupils celebrate great GCSE results

Date published: 22 August 2024

Staff and students at Wardle Academy are again celebrating a strong crop of GCSE results, with some excellent personal achievements.

Of special note are the impressive performance of Gabriella Ogden, achieving 11 grade 9s and an A* in the A Level Mathematics she sat two years early, and Rameesha Ali, who achieved seven grade 9s, a grade 8 and a grade 7.  Other notable performances were from Isaac Gray, Scarlett Crossley and Ella Edwards.

Headteacher James Glennie said: “As ever, we are incredibly proud of our young people who have worked so hard to achieve their GCSE results.

“This cohort have made an impressive investment in their preparations, in particular through attendance at our Saturday provision (D6) and engagement with revision sessions. We feel immensely proud of this cohort and wish them well as they leave our care.

“We are very grateful also to the staff teams who have worked so tirelessly to support year 11 and, as ever, are very appreciative of the support and partnership of all our families.

“A great day for the community of Wardle Academy.”
