Excitement as Crompton House pupils celebrate GCSE success

The publication of this week's GCSE results sees Crompton House School’s ‘Class of 2024’ celebrating excellent achievements. The school said that these results are a credit to the students, their teachers and parents and carers.

With over 60% of students entered for the English Baccalaureate.17% of all grades were 7-9, and 76% of all grades were 4-9. 70% of students achieved at least five passes including English and maths and over half of students achieved strong passes in English and maths.

Head of school, Mrs Susanna Hegarty said: "We have celebrated the incredible achievements of our GCSE students, whose hard work and determination have truly shone through.

"Each grade represents not just academic success, but also perseverance and resilience. We are immensely proud of all our students, and we know that they will carry the values and lessons learned here into the bright futures that await them.

"A significant number of year 11 students will be continuing their studies at Crompton House School Sixth Form, and we look forward to welcoming them back in September. We also wish the best of luck to those students continuing their studies and apprenticeships elsewhere."

  • Abigail Evans (six grade 9s, four grade 8s
  • Brooke Crotty (six grade 9s, three grade 8s, one grade 7)
  • Sophie Meyrick (three grade 9s, five grade 8s, two grade 7s)
  • William Fitton (four grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 5)
  • Simbarashe Madume (four grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7s, one grade 6)
  • Leon Gerrard (nine grade 8s, one grade 7)

Karl Newell, chief executive officer of Crompton House Multi Academy Trust, said: "As our Year 11 students move forward in their academic journey, we offer them our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.

"Whether they choose to continue their education in Crompton House School Sixth Form or explore new horizons elsewhere, we are confident that they will carry with them the skills, knowledge, and resilience that will empower them to thrive in whatever path they choose.

"We look forward to witnessing the continued growth and accomplishments of our students as they embark on the next chapter of their lives."
