Air ambulance lands in Rochdale after boy hit by car

A North West Air Ambulance landed at the scene
An air ambulance landed in Rochdale on Monday afternoon (12 August) after a boy on a scooter was hit by a car.
The incident occurred at approximately 4.10pm on Ings Avenue, prompting a swift response from emergency services. The area was quickly cordoned off, with multiple officers and paramedics attending the scene.
A North West Air Ambulance was seen landing on a nearby grass verge close to the Caldershaw Business Centre, adding to the urgency of the response. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the pedestrian are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, according to police.
Emergency services began to stand down at around 5.30pm, once the situation was under control.
No arrests were made in connection with the incident.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and pedestrian at around 4.10pm on 12 August."
A North West Air Ambulance spokesperson said: "A boy was taken to hospital after a collision between a vehicle and a scooter. The patient wasn’t seriously injured."
