Bonfires and fireworks displays in the borough in 2023

Fireworks at Cronkeyshaw Common annual Rochdale bonfire
Summer is well and truly over and the evenings are getting darker every day as the cosy seasons approach. That means events such as Bonfire night are drawing near and there are three organised displays set to take place around Rochdale for residents and families to enjoy.
There are three council displays in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale which are suitable for all ages. The details can be found below.
Middleton Bonfire and Fireworks Display
Where: Bowlee Community Park, Heywood Old Road, Middleton M24 4GS
When: Tuesday 31 October 7pm - 10pm
Cost: Free
Middletonians are invited to join in the fun at this large organised bonfire and fireworks display.
The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, followed by a spectacular firework display at 7.30pm. There will also be a family funfair.
This event is wheelchair accessible, and refreshments will be available.
Alcohol, fireworks, and sparklers are not permitted.
Parking will be extremely limited, so people are asked to walk or use public transport if they can.
Heywood Bonfire and Fireworks Display
Queen’s Park Road, Heywood OL10 4HA
When: Wednesday 1 November 7pm - 10pm
Cost: Free
Heywoodites are invited to join in the fun with at this large organised bonfire and fireworks display at Queen’s Park Road, Heywood – opposite Queen’s Park.
The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, followed by a spectacular firework display at 7.30pm. There is also a family funfair.
This event is wheelchair accessible, and refreshments will be available.
Alcohol, fireworks, and sparklers are not permitted.
Parking will be extremely limited, so people are asked to walk or use public transport if they can.
Rochdale Bonfire and Fireworks Display
Where: Cronkeyshaw Common, Syke, Rochdale OL12 0QR
When: Thursday 2 November 7pm - 10pm
Cost: Free
Rochdalians are invited to join in the fun at this large organised bonfire and fireworks display at Cronkeyshaw Common.
The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, followed by a spectacular firework display at 7.30pm.
This event is wheelchair accessible, and refreshments will be available.
Alcohol, fireworks, and sparklers are not permitted.
Parking will be extremely limited, so people are asked to walk or use public transport if they can.
Greenbank Road and Dewhirst Road will be closed for vehicles from 6pm – 9pm.
Other organised firework displays and bonfires are being held at local cricket clubs:
Milnrow Cricket Club Annual Bonfire & Fireworks Display
Where: Milnrow Cricket Club, Harbour Lane, Milnrow, OL16 4HF
When: Saturday 4 November from 5pm
Cost: Adults (16+) £5, Child's ticket (age 3-15) £3, Family (2 adults, 2 children) £15, children under 3 go free but still require a ticket to enter
The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, followed by a spectacular firework display at 8pm, as well as some entertainment in the clubhouse following the display.
Strictly no parking at the venue (limited blue badge holder parking) so please arrive on foot.
The event is strictly ticket only.
Littleborough Cricket Club Bonfire & Firework Display
Where: Littleborough Cricket Club, Denehurst Road, Littleborough, OL15 9HL
When: Saturday 4 November from 4pm
Cost: £5 per person / £20 Family (2 adults + 3 children/concessions)
The bonfire will be lit at 5.30pm, followed by a spectacular firework display at 7pm. There will also be a family funfair.
The event is strictly ticket only. Buying tickets in advance is recommended and no guarantee there will be tickets left on the night.
Norden Cricket Club Firework Display
Where: Norden Cricket Club, Woodhouse Lane, Norden, OL12 7SD
When: Saturday 4 November from 5pm
Cost: Adult £5, Child £3, Family (2 adults, 3 children) £15
Amazing fireworks displays at 6.30pm and 8pm, fairground rides and lots of family fun. Food and drinks available.
The event is strictly pre-purchased ticket only. No unaccompanied under 18's.
