Seven members of Whittaker Golf Club, Littleborough, have raised £1,700 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The group teed off for a 72-hole challenge on Saturday 24 June for club captain Colin Chew’s chosen charity.
Past captain Rob Bolton, Andy Walton, Dylan Williams, Aaron Ward, Ste North and James Crawshaw made up the rest of the group.
On the third round, Dylan came very close to matching the course record with a gross 65.
Next year the golfers are aiming to complete either 90 holes, or undertake a 24-hour golf marathon to see how many holes they can complete.
Colin said: “I would like to thank everyone who donated and supported the lads on day.”
Donations were made via sponsorship forms.
