A woman was cut free from a car following a collision in Middleton on Sunday night (25 June).
Fire crews were called to the scene of the two-car collision on Bowness Road, near the junction with Millbeck Road, at around 11.20pm.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Two fire engines from Blackley and Heywood, along with the technical rescue unit from Ashton, quickly attended the incident, which involved two cars.
“Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to extricate a woman from one of the cars. She was then taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
“Fire crews were in attendance for an hour and 10 minutes.”
