Helping hand this winter from We're All Mad tearooms

Date published: 09 December 2022

Anyone who may have to choose between heating their homes or feeding their children this winter can be given a helping hand with a free meal at the We’re All Mad Here tearoom inside Heywood’s Blue Rose gift shop.

Rebecca Jones, who runs the Alice in Wonderland-themed tearoom, is providing an ‘Alice Special’ free tea and toast between 10am and 12 noon, and soup between 12noon and 2pm for those who need a helping hand through the cost-of-living crisis.

She said: “I was so sick of seeing post after post of single mums not being able to feed their children or vulnerable people choosing between food and heat.

“Just need to come into the tearoom, be seated and when looking at the menu ask for an Alice Special.

“No questions asked; it's on me.”

Dairy- and gluten-free options are available.

We're All Mad Here is located in the rear of 25-27 Market Place, Off Taylor Street, Heywood OL10 1LA.
