Pupils from three local schools who helped edit a book have celebrated its release with a performance of the story.
Last year, schoolchildren from St Andrew's CofE in Dearnley, St Luke's CofE and Heap Bridge, both in Heywood, were chosen to help Yvonne Weatherhead MBE edit her new book, Lizzifly in a Quest for Paradise, which has just been released.

To celebrate its publishing, students who helped create the book came together at St Andrew's and put on a live performance on 17 November.
The book is about Lizzifly, the magical sand lizard, who goes on a daring quest. It explores themes of empathy and friendships that can never be broken, all whilst characters face obstacles along their journey.
Mrs Weatherhead said: “The children practised their part of the book, in their own schools and then the play came together on the morning of the book launch.
“Their acting skills were incredible and the audience of St Andrew’s key stage 2 children, friends, governors, headteachers and teachers of the schools involved, were treated to a fantastic show.
“The children who were editors, were presented with their book by Dave Williams, the director of Urban Soul, the printers. Following the show, there was a book signing for the children in the school, held in the beautiful library of St. Andrew's school.”
The headteacher of St Luke’s said: “It was amazing to see the schools come together and perform scenes from the book. It was the first time the children had met and it was spectacular how the performance came together.
“The children have gained so many skills working with Mrs Weatherhead, including editing the book with her to then performing scenes from the story with new friends.
“It really has been a fantastic opportunity for the children.”
The book is also being sent to King Charles III and his son Prince William, as it is written about Anglesey, where Prince William was based in the RAF.
Some of the children had their drawings featured within the final version of the book, which has been described as both "nail-biting" and "a stunner."
