BBC Philharmonic Christmas Concert in Rochdale

Date published: 23 November 2022

This year’s BBC Philharmonic Christmas Concert of seasonal music and classic festive favourites will be recorded in Rochdale at Number One Riverside.

BBC Radio Manchester will record their annual Christmas Concert with the BBC Philharmonic and presenters Anna Jameson and Asma Younus, with special guest Prima from BBC Introducing and the Musical Theatre Choir from Rochdale Music Service.

Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Ali Ahmed said: "I am encouraging everyone to come back into Rochdale over the next few weeks; we’ve so much going on including the BBC Philharmonic Christmas Concert, the Street Eat festival and Father Christmas in his grotto at Touchstones.”

The concert takes place at 7pm on Friday 16 December, and a ticket ballot is now open until 8 December. You can apply for a maximum of 4 tickets for the recording. They will be allocated by random draw, with 60 per cent of the tickets going to Greater Manchester postcodes and 40 per cent to the rest of the UK.
