Rochdale pensioner changes plea in historic manslaughter case

A Rochdale pensioner has admitted a historic charge of manslaughter in Plymouth in 1976.
Terence McArthur, 67, of Rochdale, pleaded guilty to the charge, relating to an incident on 1 June 1976, after appearing at Exeter Crown Court on Tuesday (22 June).
He had previously denied the charge.

McArthur has been remanded into custody ahead of sentencing on 12 July 2021.
