Rochdale pensioner denies historic manslaughter charge

A Rochdale pensioner has denied a historic charge of manslaughter in Plymouth in 1976.

Terence McArthur, 67, of Rochdale, pleaded not guilty to the charge, relating to an incident on 1 June 1976, after appearing at Exeter Crown Court last week (14 May).

McArthur has been remanded into custody ahead of a trial due to begin on 5 July 2021.
