Bridge on Queen’s Park Road
A woman has died after falling from the bridge on Queen’s Park Road in Heywood on Monday (31 July.)
Police are understood to have cordoned off sections of the bridge, and of Queen’s Park where the woman’s body is believed to have been discovered. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
A Great Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 6.50am on Monday 31 July 2017, police received a call from North West Ambulance Service that a woman had fallen from a bridge.
“Emergency services attended, but the woman sadly died at the scene.”
North West Ambulance confirmed they attended.
