The family of Talaina Hussain, who died following a collision in Rochdale, have paid tribute to her.

Her family have paid tribute to her: “Anybody that knew our daughter would tell you she could light up any room without trying with those big brown eyes.

“She was a fantastic sister and her mother’s best friend.

“Our daughter had the biggest heart of gold. Her laugh was so infectious; sometimes you would find yourself giggling although you never had any idea why.

“We cannot describe our daughter in a couple of words because we would need pages, she was that special! You will never have come across a more beautiful person inside and out, and most definitely will never do so, not on her level!

“We are absolutely devastated and time will never heal our broken hearts. She is our shining diamond and now she is shining far. We cannot thank family and friends enough for their continued support. Talaina was definitely blessed with the most courageous friends who loved her more than she will ever know.”

Police are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision to get in contact.

Police Constable Dermot Murray of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “My thoughts remain with Talaina’s family during this extremely difficult time and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for their bravery and support as we continue our enquiries.

“We are carrying out an extensive investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the collision and I’m appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has any information or dashcam footage to get in touch with us.”

Anyone with information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
