Hopwood Hall College and University Centre is holding its first open events of the year – and there’s plenty in store!

The college, which has campuses in Middleton and Rochdale, will be welcoming visitors to both sites in October.

The first open event will take place from 10.30am – 1.30pm on Saturday 5 October. Meanwhile, a second event will be held between 4.30pm – 6.30pm on Wednesday, 23 October.

Year 11s, along with their parents and carers, are encouraged to attend so that they can discover just what it’s like to study at the award-winning college.

This includes exploring the wide range of post-school courses on offer, such as the game-changing T-Levels that have a strong record for springboarding learners into Higher Apprenticeships, Higher Apprenticeships or directly into employment.

In addition, visitors will also be able to learn more about other vocational routes such as BTECs and apprenticeships training. There will also be the opportunity to learn about Higher Education at Hopwood’s thriving University Centre.

Julia Heap, Principal and CEO at Hopwood Hall College and University Centre, said: “We’re so excited to throw open our doors and show everyone all the great pathways we’ve got on other for school leavers.

“These events are designed to inform and inspire, so be sure to come along whether you know exactly what you want to do or whether you’re still considering your options.

“No matter what you want to be or where you want to get in life, we’re confident that we’ve got a course that will help you get there!”

Hopwood’s open events will also give the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facilities at both campuses, some of which have recently received multi-million-pound investments.

This means visitors can wander around areas such as the Advanced Technology and Construction Centre, the Riverside Salon, media suites, art workshops, science laboratories and many more.

The college’s tutors, many of which have years of industry experience, will also be on hand to offer expert advice on which course is best-suited for each individual.

Ultimately, this will allow school leavers to gain all the information they need to confidently choose a course and begin the next exciting new journey in their lives.
