Twelve of the North Pole’s most important elves are celebrating Christmas in Rochdale with a fantastic new competition.
Whilst many of Santa’s ‘scout elves’ are currently getting up to mischief in our homes – and letting Santa know just how well-behaved our children are being this month – 12 elves can be found in some of Rochdale’s shop windows.
Each elf is holding a letter, which – when put together – reveal a fabulous Christmas-themed word – and anyone entering the trail is entered into the prize draw to win an Apple iPad, courtesy of Santa and the Rochdale BID.
Paul Ambrose Business Improvement District Manager said: “Unlike last year, it’s been great to facilitate a package of festive-themed attractions throughout the BID area that will attract shoppers, diners and other visitors too throughout these crucial few weeks in the run-up to Christmas.
“One such event is the elf trail; 12 cheeky elves are hiding in shop windows, and we encourage visitors to complete the trail and perhaps visit shops they wouldn’t normally visit.
“I hope everyone has a fantastic time hunting down the elves and following the trail.”
You can enter as many times as you wish, but entries must be received by 24 December – simply pop your entry into Santa’s postbox at the former Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre.
The Elf on a Shelf trail sheets can be found in all participating venues on Riverside Walk, Baillie Street, South Parade, Lord Square, Yorkshire Street, the Exchange Shopping Centre and The Walk.
