Ask the Expert – in conjunction with Oldham Council, Rochdale Council is holding a ‘Meet the Expert’ event on Thursday 9 May at Oldham Library. There will be stands from business support organisations and both local authorities, as well as two short presentations. One will be by Graham Niven from the Access to Finance Team and the other from Adrian Stores of Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs is managing a programme to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and support services. Registration for the event starts at 5pm, with light refreshments and the chance to visit the exhibitors. The first presentation will start at 6pm. Week commencing 13 May is national export week and UKTI will deliver a breakfast session on Tuesday 14 May at Manchester Golf Club starting at 7.30am. The event will showcase the opportunities available to local businesses through International Trade, whether exporting for the first time or looking to break into new markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Central/Latin America and Africa. Exporting can help your business grow and prosper both at home and abroad. It can also help improve your competitiveness by exposing you and your staff to new ideas and demands from overseas customers. A reminder that RochdaleRochdaleRochdale is holding a business exhibition in Rochdale Town Hall on Wednesday 8 May. The exhibition will be business-to-business and have stands which will be selling to the public i.e. gifts, jewellery, bags, photography etc. It will be open to the public from 4.00pm until 8.00pm.
