RRG dealerships give back to local sports clubs with £500 donation

Date published: 30 July 2012

North West car dealership group RRG have announced that four of its dealerships – RRG Toyota in Rochdale and Denton and its two Peugeot dealerships in Rochdale and Oldham – are to donate £500 to local sports clubs in the area.

Teaming up with local radio station 96.2 The Revolution, the ‘Gives Back’ campaign will see two sports club awarded the funds. A competition has been launched through The Revolution’s website, asking entrants to tell any of the four participating RRG dealerships how much of a difference the coveted £500 donation would make to them via their respective Facebook pages. All entrants are required to start their Facebook posts with ‘RRG and Revolution Radio – Giving Back.’

Arran Bangham, RRG Managing Director, said: “Having been in operation in Rochdale since 1993, Oldham since 1998 and more recently Denton from 2006, we have managed to build up longstanding relationships with local communities and businesses in these areas.

“Through the ‘Gives Back’ campaign, we hope to strengthen these relationships further by providing local sports clubs with a financial boost which in many cases is much-needed. Sport provides opportunities for people of all ages to come together, make friends and enjoy themselves; and with these donations we hope to enhance these opportunities for local people.”

96.2 The Revolution’s commercial manager Danny Holborn added: “This is a wonderful opportunity for a sports club within the local area and can really make a difference at the grassroots level.

“Whether it’s for new kit or much-needed new equipment, these donations will go a long way for successful clubs.”

The competition closes at the end of August, after which RRG will pick two local sports clubs from the Facebook posts which they believe deserve the donations above the rest.
