Local company awarded local contract

Date published: 05 July 2012

Click Fire and Security has been awarded the Fire and Security Installation at Kingsway Park High School, as part of Building Schools for the Future programme (BSF).

Derek Dixon of Click Fire and Security said: “This is the fourth school we are working on at the moment, totalling 190K of orders. The contracts have been given by Shepherd Engineering Services, Manchester (SES). Our main contractor is Carillion.”

Click has previously worked on the Holy Family RC and CE College, Darnhill Study Centre and Middleton Technology College.

The work  includes the installation of new fire alarms and intruder alarm systems.

Since their business started in November 2010, Click has completed smaller installations within Rochdale, but the new contracts are the first of the bigger contract works undertaken.

The company has just completed a 10 month project at the University of Liverpool and several larger contracts around the Manchester area.

Kingsway Park High School will be their closest customer, at 2.1 miles from their offices.

Working as part of the BSF programme has allowed the staff to work locally, in Rochdale, for the first time.
