It is 50 years since Middletonian, Michael Sedgwick, established Sedgwick Legal to provide legal services to the local community.
To mark the special anniversary, Sedgwick Legal is hosting a number of fund raising events for Francis House Children’s Hospice.
Francis House Children’s Hospice is based in Didsbury, South Manchester but supports children and families from all over the North West.
The hospice was established 20 years ago, and during that time has helped over a thousand children and their families.
As well as end of life care, the hospice provides respite care, not only for the sick child or young adult, but for the whole family.
Whilst a small amount of central funding is available, the hospice relies on supporters to raise the funds needed.
The current annual running cost is £3million, that is £8,200 each day!
