It’s time to vote in the 2010 Rochdale Borough Design Awards!
For the second year running, the Council is holding the Rochdale Borough Design Awards, with the aim of rewarding top quality design in new developments. Every year two awards are presented – The Rochdale Borough Design Award, decided by a panel of experts in the urban design field, and the Rochdale Borough People’s Design Award, voted for by the general public.
This year there is a shortlist of seven nominated developments, covering a variety of types of new development, from public buildings to private homes, all of them recently completed. They all provide inspiration for raising the bar in terms of new building design standards in the Borough. The question is – is there one that you think is really outstanding?
The Awards are sponsored by Wilson Bowden Developments, who themselves were nominated last year for the high quality landscaping at Kingsway Business Park.
The seven nominated developments for this year's Rochdale Borough People’s Design Award are presented below. Please vote for your favourite, although please remember that you can vote only once. By rewarding good design, we can help to improve the environment of the Borough.
Voting is open until 24 November 2010 and the winner will be announced at a special ceremony later in the year, along with the winner of the Rochdale Borough Design Award. Thank you for taking part.
Note: Voting for this feature ended on 24 November 2010.
