Henderson goal nominated for Goal Of The Year 2013
Date published: 22 January 2014
Ian Henderson’s cheeky chip at Cheltenham Town earlier this season will be put forward as the club’s nomination for the Mitre Goal of the Year 2013 award.
Supporters have been voting for their favourite goal from over the past 12 months since last week, and in the end it was a close call between Henderson’s finish and Scott Hogan’s goal against Hartlepool United on the opening day of the season, with Henderson’s just edging the vote.
Henderson’s late winner against the Robins, which was named Goal of the Month in October, saw Dale secure all three points in injury time at Whaddon Road.
