Middleton Band
Middleton Band has been crowned champions of the Second Section at the 2025 North West Regional Championships.
Under the expert direction of conductor Jamie Cooper, Middleton Band delivered an exceptional performance at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on 23 February, securing the coveted title with their rendition of Friendly Takeover. Their triumph marks a significant achievement for the band.
The competition, which saw 18 bands from across the North West compete in a highly competitive field, was intense. However, Middleton Band’s polished and powerful performance stood out, earning them first place in the Second Section. Their win secures them a place at the national finals in September.
“It’s an incredible feeling to see all our hard work pay off,” said Jamie Cooper, the band’s musical director. “The band has been working tirelessly for this moment, and it’s great to see their dedication rewarded.”
Middleton Band’s victory is a significant moment in the band’s history, and the entire team is eager to build on this success as they prepare for the national finals later this year. For now, though, the band is celebrating a well-deserved victory, a testament to their hard work, passion, and love of music.
If you are able to support the fundraising efforts to help and support the band to get to the national finals in Cheltenham, the members would appreciate any support. Donations can be made here: https://gofund.me/b1d8b722
