Hornets in safe hands

Safeguard Group has been announced as as a major club partner for the 2014 season by Rochdale Hornets.

The Safeguard Group are the company behind the creation of the display cases and specialist lighting in the newly launched Hornets heritage room. 

The Oldham based company were guests at Spotland last season and gave deserving community groups a 'Day to Remember' at the recent Rugby League World Cup fixture, where they purchased tickets for Oldham based St Annes RLFC, MAHDLO Community Centre, Dr Kershaws Hospice and Rochdale's Redwood School.

Hornets Chief Executive Ryan Bradley commented: "Safeguard is exactly the sort of business we at Hornets want to work with. They have a rich recent history of giving back to their local community and as a leading North West company, they wanted to expand this giving into Rochdale. We are delighted to share their vision of local pride and example of high quality, community working and look forward to working with them in 2014 and beyond."

The Safeguard logo will appear on the 2014 home and away kit and the company will sponsor various community initiatives throughout the year, including half term holiday camps and a junior talent programme. They will also sponsor Hornets strike centre Casey Mayberry throughout the upcoming Championship campaign.

Ben Ingham, Education & Community Lead for Safeguard Group, said: "We are thrilled to be sponsoring Rochdale Hornets 2014 season, our focus will be supporting their education and community programmes as well as introducing potential new business and sponsors to the club through the celebration of sport.

"We look forward to an exciting season and some great play from our sponsored player and Hornets favourite Casey Mayberry."
