Hornets travel to Leigh

Date published: 15 January 2014

A Hornets XIII will travel to Leigh East on Friday evening to take on Leigh Centurions u20s, kick off at 7.30pm.

Coach Ian Talbot will start a team with little resemblance to the one that started at Keighley on Sunday, giving some of the trialists who have been with the squad throughout pre-season their chance to impress.

Waddy, Ball, Bowman and Marsh all look set to start in the pack and there could be starts for Ratu and Mayberry after the strike centres were not risked at Cougar Park due to slight niggles.

Hornets will operate with a large squad which will be rotated through the evening.

Leigh East ARLFC is located on Leigh Sports Village, where Hornets were triumphant in the Championship 1 Play Off Final.

Parking is available in the Sports Village car parks.

There will be a small donation at the gate for entry.

A club spokesman said: "There is a possibility, if interest is sufficient, for a supporters mini bus - please get in touch with the club office."
