Rochdale Premier Cricket League – week 11 round up

All teams in action again in Rochdale Premier Cricket League. Good win for Paradise Stars against Unique gave them the first position in league. In other matches RYCC won against Lahore Rangers, Bury Panthers won against Max 11, Rochdalians against Thornham CC, and Rochdale Lions against Punjab.

The first match of the day was between Bury Panthers and Max 11. Max 11 batted first and made 94 runs in their 8 overs. Good batting from Sakib 33 runs (not out), Ayub 18 runs and Zeeshan 14 runs. In response Bury Panthers won the match by 5 wickets and 2.4 overs to spare. An excellent batting from Zulfi 25 runs (not out) and Shafique 9 runs. Max 11’s bowlers unable to control extras and gave away 47 runs.

The second match was won by Unique against 8 Stars by 4 wickets and 1.1 overs to spare. 8 Stars batted first and scored 114 runs in their 8 overs. Good batting from Waleed 31 runs (not out), Irfan 27 runs (not out) and Tariq 20 runs. Good response from Unique’s batsmen, (Mo 29 runs, Asif 21 runs and Iqbal 19 runs) and won the match with an ease.

Next match was between 8 Lions and Rochdalians. 8 Lions batted first and made 101 runs. Again excellent batting from Ali 31 runs (not out), Khawaja 25 runs and Jeda 14 runs (not out). In response Rochdalians made 102 runs and won the match by 6 wickets and 1.5 overs to spare, an excellent batting from Hameed 24 runs and Asif 17 runs (not out)..

Next match was between Unique and Paradise Stars. This is a crunch match for both of the teams as the winner will take the 1st place in the league. Unique batted first and scored 97 runs. Good bowling from Shahid (Jimmy) 2 wickets for 14 runs. Good response Paradise Stars and won the match by 5 wickets and 1.3 overs to spare. Excellent batting from Shahid (Jimmy) 30 runs (not out), Aqeel 11 runs and Chand 10 runs. With this win Paradise Stars moved to the first position in the league. .

Another win for Rochdalains against Thornham CC. Batting first Thornham CC made 91 runs in 8 overs. Good batting from Amjad 30 runs and Chris 27 runs. Rochdalians won the match by 8 wickets and 3 overs to spare. An Excellent batting from Hameed 31 runs (not out), Faisal 25 runs (not out) and Imran 20 runs (not out).

An easy win for Rochdale Lions against Punjab, batting first Rochdale Lions made 154 runs. Good batting from all the batsmen, Shahid 22 runs (not out), Dastghir 20 runs and Zubair 18 runs. In response Punjab was bowled out for 84 runs in 6 overs. An excellent bowling from Rochdale Lion’s bowlers, Zohaib Shah 3 wickets for 10 runs and Dastghir 2 wickets for 11 runs.

Last match of the day was between RYCC and Lahore Rangers. RYCC batted first and made 137 runs in their 8 overs. Good batting from Iftikhar 34 runs (not out), Siddique27runs and Tayab 23 runs. Despite good batting from Adil 31 runs and Ansar 17 runs Lahore Rangers lost the match by 33 runs.
