Reynolds hangs his colours on Mayfield

Rochdale Mayfield have welcomed an addition to their backroom staff in the form of new kit man Mark Reynolds.

Mr Reynolds joins the club after having been one of the country’s leading kit men in the professional game.

He has been helping out at the club for a number of weeks now and has been asked by the Committee of the club to make this a permanent move.

Mr Reynolds said: “I have been involved in the professional game for a number of years and I pride myself on being associated with a club that pays 100% attention to detail and since coming here as a favour to help out the club I have decided to , along with my son Gavin ,  take on the responsibility of ensuring that the teams at Mayfield run out on the pitch with the right kit on for the occasion.”

He continued: “The club has set very high standards both on and off the field and it is my job to ensure that on the field we all play in the same kit and do not look like a team who just throws on what is available to them.”

Club Vice Chairman Peter Duffy said: “It is an honour to have Mark and Gavin at the club taking care of our Kit room. We are working hard off the field behind the scenes to set the club on a strong footing and with our coaching staff working to a high standard we felt that we had to ensure that the players were looked after by providing them with someone who we knew would not take second best - he would ensure that they were provided with a high standard of kit to play in.”
