18s Raring to go!

Date published: 19 August 2010

Rochdale Hornets Rugby League under 18s are back in full swing following the summer break.

New head coach Danny Pyke commented: "The lads are starting to come back from holidays now and are looking forward to the new season. Numbers are getting there at training and I expect us to fully kick on in preperation for the new North West counties season which kicks off in a couple of weeks".

As well as the North West Counties league, the bulk of the squad will be representing Rochdale at the RFL under 18s Regional Carnival at Hopwood Hall on Saturday 25th September. Any talented player either living or playing in the borough (club, college, league or union) or asked to put themselves forward for the team representing the borough at the one off tournament and the chance to play for the county and GB Community Lions.

The 18s train Monday (6-7) and Thursday (6-7.30) evenings at Castleton Sports Centre, home of Rochdale Mayfield.

Players of all abilities are welcome. Contact danny.pyke@link4life.org or ring 07807 412 449.
