After losing the toss Bamford were put under pressure by accurate bowling from Beth Garforth who bowled a great spell of five overs, taking 2-14 including a double wicket maiden.
After Alex Willis went for 11, the home side lost two cheap wickets before opener Joe Smith-Butler and Abbu Alam upped the rate with a number of boundaries. When Alam went for 15, Smith-Butler struggled for partners as wickets fell and was eventually caught on 46. Ben Durrant made a vital 12 to see the innings end on 99.
Ripley was the visitors best bowler, taking 4-11 from his four overs and he also took two good catches.
Alam and Smith-Butler were on top of the Austerlands batters straight away with Alam taking a wicket in his first over. They tied the batsmen down with good line and length bowling and at the end of eight overs Austerlands were on 26 but they had only lost one wicket.
A change of bowlers allowed them to score more freely as a number of short and wide balls were dispatched to the boundary. Durrant took a great boundary catch to get rid of the opener Haisler, but his replacement, Monaghan got 22 from 11 balls before Smith-Butler bowled him.
The game ended in the seventeenth over with Austerlands winning by seven wickets.
