Rochdale sign Joe Widdowson

Joe Widdowson has signed for Rochdale AFC. The 21-year-old left back played 41 games for Grimsby Town last season as they were relegated to the Blue Square Premier.
The former West Ham United trainee becomes Keith Hill’s second signing of the summer following the arrival of Brian Barry-Murphy on a two-year-deal from Bury last week.
He replaces Rochdale’s previous left back Tom Kennedy, who left for Championship side Leicester City two weeks ago.
