Pitch work to begin on Monday

Rochdale Football Club aim to start work on the Spotland pitch on Monday 14 June.

A club spokesperson said: “We’ve got a job sheet ready and hope to start work after Rochdale Hornet’s game on Sunday in order to prepare the pitch for next season in League 1.”

Hornets are not then due to play on the pitch until Sunday 25 July.

Manager Keith Hill has already stated that the pitch will play a big part in 'Dale's success next season. The surface suffered towards the end of the last campaign and Hill revealed that he had to change tactics to accommodate the state of the Spotland pitch.
