Chris Dagnall is interesting Charlton Athletic

Rochdale striker Chris Dagnall has caught the eye of Charlton Athletic manager Phil Parkinson.

Dagnall scored 20 league goals to help the Dale get promoted to League One and his goal-scoring exploits have attracted Parkinson's attention. 

But due to the financial situation at the south London club, no transfer budget has yet been made for player acquisitions.

Parkinson said: “Chris is a player we watched last season and he's a good young forward.”

He added: “But we're not able to go for anyone yet.”
