Cricket: Heywood teams for the weekend

Date published: 03 May 2019

Heywood Cricket Club welcome back James Kettleborough for the senior side’s double date at the weekend.

Kettleborough, who missed the washout at Moorside last Saturday, is available again for the home game against Glossop on Saturday then a trip to Whalley Range on Sunday for a first-round game in the Derek Kay Cup, both 1.00pm.

Dominic Fawcett features in Saturday’s team and he is replaced by Mikey Witts on Sunday.

The second team travel to Saddleworth CC on Saturday for a 1.30pm start and the 3rd X1 make the short trip to Bamford Fieldhouse on Sunday, with the game starting at 2.00pm.

Hopefully making his debut in the latter side is Sohail Asildada, who has played his recent cricket for Gore Court CC at Sittingbourne in Kent. His registration will hopefully be approved in time by the Greater Manchester Cricket League.
