Founded in 1868, Thornham Cricket Club is located just off Rochdale Road in Slattocks. Views across farmland towards Tandle Hill Country Park and St. John’s Church give Thornham the feel and look of a village cricket club.

The club has a cozy bar and in 2014 opened a new pavilion with changing and shower facilities for players and officials, a fully equipped kitchen and a community room.

As of 2016, all our teams became members of the newly established Greater Manchester Cricket League (GMCL). In addition to 3 senior teams, we have a thriving junior section comprising U13s, U15s and U17s teams and have recently added ‘Fun Cricket’ training for under 10s.

Senior teams train on Thursday evenings from 6pm

Junior teams train on Wednesday evenings:

Under 10s 6pm – 7.15pm , Under 13,15 and 17 from 6pm -8pm

The club is open from 9pm on a Monday and a Friday and from 3pm on match days. New members are most welcome.
