Littleborough U12s
Travelling over 24 miles over the border into Bradford, Littleborough's young chargers dominated a number of duels across the age ranges that saw hosts Cleckheaton combine with nearby Keighley on Sunday (28 October).
Littleborough's Under 12s started the game full of purposeful running and were soon showing signs early on of some flowing rugby and possession-based play, running in tries from all parts of the pitch.
However, the visitors did not have it all their own way and only some outstanding defending on their own try line kept the Yorkshire side at bay.
An excellent first half finished with Littleborough holding a commanding 6-0 lead into the break.
The second half saw the home team step up their game and pull a couple of tries back.
That was before Littleborough got back into gear and added to their advantage by finishing the game strongly to end with a final score of 9 tries to 3.
Man of the Match plaudits was handed to Louie Harris for an excellent all round performance while debutante Deacon Connolly's dummy (that even the ref bought!) was worthy of the Autumn Internationals.
Special mentions must also go to Bradley Fleming who played fantastic and had his best game to date in what is his first season of rugby.
Ben Limer can also be proud of his performance, as what he does in training came off brilliantly to make for a wonderful afternoon for the Under 12s.
