Rugby League: Ben Morris signs for 2019

Date published: 26 October 2018

Ben Morris from St Helens has signed a two-year deal at Rochdale Hornets.

Morris came through the St Helens academy ranks and was a key part of their 2016 season which saw the club go unbeaten throughout.

Keighley, Workington and Oldham have all had the youngster’s services over the last few seasons, but working with new Hornets coach Carl Forster will provide more experience for Morris.

The 21-year-old back has had international experience with Wales and has been named in John Kear’s squad for the European Championships against Scotland, Ireland and France that will take place later this month.

Ben said: “I’m really excited to be starting a new challenge at Rochdale and looking forward to getting started in pre-season.

“I’m grateful to Carl and the club for giving me a chance to get playing at a good level and I know he has a lot of ambition for the club.

“I see them moving in the right direction, so it feels like a good move for me and hopefully I can bring something to the club.”
