Sailing: Martin Brennan on form with a win and two second places

Date published: 25 October 2018

Having featured in many reports, sailing various boats, mainly GP14s and Solos, Martin Brennan has taken delivery of his own Solo and showed that he was still very much on the pace with a win and two second places.

Sunday (21 October) offered a variety of conditions for the Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club starting with a light westerly wind and drizzle.

This was not a deterant for six young Topper sailors where there was close competition between Daisy Fisher and Hector Droungas.

They were equal on points overall, but a better race result in one race gave Daisy the advantage.

During the second race, the wind swung more to the north west and a clearing sky in mid afternoon brought some strong gusts to add excitement.
