A Courtney Mills hat trick and a brace for Kiera Boardman gave Littleborough Under 15s victory at home against newly formed Leigh Under 15s.
Mollie Yates wasted no time in making an instant impact with the first try, running down the right touchline and having the pace to score under the posts. Ellie Fitzgerald struck the first of her three conversions between the posts.
Counter rucking five metres from the Leigh line presented Courtney Mills with a one-handed scoop and easy to run into dive over. Fitzgerald's conversion attempt rattled the framework.
Leigh respond with a converted try down the middle from close range.
Littleborough, in their first ever game that had contested scrums, became the dominant force, turning over ball as the second rows Ella Fearnley, Kirsty Bella and Lily Galvin were straightening their legs and digging deep.
A grubber kick through from Kiera Boardman saw Mills score under the posts for Littleborough's third try. The conversion by Fitzgerald gave Littleborough a 19-7 lead.
Leigh responded with another two tries, both on the left hand side of the posts, after a period of sustained pressure and possession just before the half time interval to level the scores.
In the second half, Littleborough took every chance that came their way.
Boardman broke through with an arching run for the first of her two tries.
Ellie Overton, Grace Garner and Tilly Robinson-Burgess in the front row spurred their side further by leading the team in the tackling stakes.
Courtney Mills sealed her hat-trick in stylish fashion with a try from half way as she picked a gap superbly. Fitzgerald on hand to kick the extras.
Kiera Boardman again found a gap with another arching run to dab down for Littleborough's sixth try.
Littleborough made the scoreline sweeter with a try under the posts from fly half general Ebony Clegg. Front row Kirsty Bella added the extras with an unorthodox toe poke to end the game.
