Rochdale Ladies were beaten by Urmston Ladies at Oulder Hill in a hard fought game on Saturday.
Rochdale keeper Sam Partington battled as hard as anyone in the first half making many great saves but Rochdale still went 2-0 down.
The second half saw much of the same but as Rochdale legs began to tire, Urmston took advantage, scoring a further three goals.
The first win for the newly promoted team remains elusive.
Captain Kie Leech said: "The result doesn't reflect the effort these girls put in. Players like Becky Moon, who never gave up and fought on until the last minute, summed up our team ethos."
The player-of-the-match went to Paula McDonald.
