Heywood host Lancashire Women

Date published: 25 August 2017

Heywood Cricket Club is hosting part of the season finale to the Royal London One Day Cup on Sunday as Lancashire Women play Nottinghamshire Women at Crimble.

Lancashire, recently crowned T20 champions, currently sit third in the One Day table with two games to play, level on points with their opponents.

Lancashire should be at full strength for the game with England international and Heywood star Kate Cross in the side along with fellow England bowler Sophie Ecclestone and England Academy players Eve Jones, Emma Lamb and Ellie Threlkeld.

Amy Satterthwaite will also feature for Lancashire, the Kiwi batter made history over the winter when she scored four consecutive ODI centuries to equal Kumar Sangakarra’s record.

The game starts at 11am and will be 50 overs a side.

A club spokesperson said: "We hope that plenty of supporters will come down to give their support to the women."
