Rugby League: Rochdale Cobras U10s 38 - 24 Limehurst Lions U10s

Date published: 03 April 2017

Rochdale Cobras beat Limehurst Lions at Firgrove on a lovely day for rugby league.

Both Cobras and Limehurst came into the game unbeaten.

The much bigger Limehurst side started the game well with their pack breaking the Cobras defence twice in the opening two minutes to score two converted tries and take an early lead.

The young Cobras never let their heads down and after some strong attacking play the first try for the Cobras came.

Cobras  finished off the first half the strongest and went into the break with a six point lead.

Half time: Rochdale Cobras 18-12 Limehurst Lions

The second half was much like the first with good rugby played by both sides.

Limehurst piled the pressure on the Cobra’s defence but the young Cobras showed just how much they have come on since the last time the two teams met. The players showed no signs of giving up.

The large crowd that had turned up to watch Cobras where not disappointed as Cobras ran in a further four tries in the second half.

With the last set of the game the Limehurst battered the Cobras line with five big drives eventually going over the line on the last tackle.

Cobras will go into their next game against Chorley Panthers full of confidence after four wins from four.
