Hornets to host fans heritage event

Date published: 02 March 2017

Rochdale Hornets are inviting fans, new and old, to join the club and their Sporting Foundation at The Crown Oil Arena on Friday 10 March for their latest heritage event.

The aim of the event is to get fans together to share stories and memories from watching the Hornets over years, or of watching rugby league in general.

It is a great chance for long-serving Hornets supporters to share their most cherished memories of a club which has played a big part in their life, and although there is no age range on the event the club are looking for as many over 55s to attend as possible.

It will begin at 10am and will run until midday with tea and coffee available throughout, and fans are encouraged to bring along friends and family to the event.

It is also a great opportunity to bring along old programmes and memorabilia, so the club is urging everyone to dig out their Hornets keepsakes to share with the attendees.

The end goal is to record all memories to put towards a play which is being written.
