Mayfield Rugby League's under 18s best in the North West, for the second year running
Mayfield Rugby League's under 18s are the best in the North West, for the second year running having wrapped up the Championship.
The young Mayfield men, coached by Matt Calland and Sam Butterworth, defeated their nearest league rivals, Clock Face of St Helens to take the Championship and remain unbeaten in the league for two years.
Mayfield under 10s also rounded off their season in style with an impressive performance away at Halton Hornets.
The team showed great spirit and determination to prevent Halton from scoring, whilst themselves crossing the whitewash six times with great skill and teamwork.
